Purpose:  The Awakening Heart Center, Inc. is the vehicle through which Rev. Mark Pope serves as a public speaker and workshop/conference facilitator.  These services emphasize the awakening and deepening of this Center of Consciousness, variously referred to as the Heart Chakra, Sacred Heart, or Love Center (Charles Fillmore’s Twelve Powers.)

Biography: Mark J. Pope is a spiritual motivational speaker whose dramatic presentations call on a lifetime of extraordinary experience. Experience that has taken him from a young life void of spiritual understanding to his current stature as an ordained minister and spiritual teacher.

Pope's presentations convey the power of a Redeeming Love that has the capacity to awaken, heal and transform us. "This Love," says Pope, "then uses our most painful and difficult life experiences to demonstrate its power and serve others." His ministry is devoted to this redemptive love and is known as The Awakening Heart.

Between the ages of fourteen and twenty-three Pope's life was characterized by profound turmoil and serious confrontations with the law. These led to his spending seven of those early years incarcerated. Then in 1971, while in jail awaiting trial and under threat of a life sentence for crimes he did not commit, he experienced a dramatic spiritual awakening. Now -- thirty-five years later -- Mark says, "... from the perspective of an Awakening Heart I now realize that all my painful life experiences have been part of a sacred curriculum." 

His ministry now spreads this message throughout the United States and abroad. It includes public speaking, conference leadership and personal consultations. Pope, now 58, spent his early years in Texas and practices his current ministry from offices in Sedona and Scottsdale, Arizona.
